Grace Based Parenting

Begins January 8th!

Sundays, 9:20-10:10am Room 202

We have a fixed amount of time to prepare our kids for the future. This seems like all the time in the world when we bring them home from the hospital. When we are holding our newborn in our arms we think about what they are about to become – great athletes, super talented, looked up to by all the kids in their class and graduating magna cum-whatever – and that's just kindergarten! If we want our kids to turn out right and achieve greatness by the time they leave our nest, it is going to take a game plan – a well thought out strategy. There is a biblical approach to parenting that's written throughout the pages of Scripture and can be seen in the way that God deals with us – through Grace. This is what this Grace Based Parenting model is all about.  Just as you build a house from the ground up, you build your child up. It starts with a firm foundation that is rooted in Jesus Christ and is aimed at raising our children according to God’s plan so they are equipped to be able to not only take on the future with calm and confidence but continue to grow up into Christ.  No matter how old your child is, you as a parent can grow in wisdom and knowledge in this area. Plan now to join our principal DJ Schult in this study starting January 8th. Meets in Room 202 on the upper level.

PASTOR’S STUDY

Christianity and the Competition

Begins January 8th

Sundays @ 9:20-10:10am in the SLC

Muslims, Hindus and Mormons! Oh My!  The world horizon is littered with competing religions and philosophies. Which has it right? The bold claims of Christianity or other religious rivals?  Join the Pastor’s Bible Study on Sunday mornings in the Spiritual Life Center to take a look at Christianity and the Competition! January 8th through  February 19th (7 weeks).

From Truth to Experience

Begins January 8th

Sundays, 9:20-10:10am in Room 203

Hosts of statistics indicate the Christian church, in general, is losing its vitality in defending the faith and reaching the lost for Christ! WHY? 2 Corinthians 10 states that God’s weapons against Satan are mighty for defeating everything that exults itself against the knowledge of God and Jude exhorts believers to contend for the faith using these weapons! What on earth is happening? Please join us as we uncover the reasons for the decline in the war against spiritual darkness and discover how we can once again use God’s weapons to defeat Satan and bring more people to the knowledge of Christ. This 10 week Bible study will be led by Brent Raben and Terry Knoll in Room 203.

 Small Group Bible Studies

Want to Lead but Don’t Know How?

Have you ever thought of leading a small group, but you don’t know how?  Trust me, I understand.  That’s why we’re trying a new way to equip people to lead in Trinity’s small group ministry…mentoring.  We’re going to mentor you in how to lead a small group through a short term small group.  This leadership mentoring group will be led by Scott & Jane Michaelson and will begin meeting after Easter and continue on through the summer months.  Through this group, you’ll learn the in’s and out’s of being a small group leader!  It isn’t hard to lead, but it sure helps if someone shows you how. If you’re interested in being mentored for ministry, please contact Scott Michaelson @ smicha5204@yahoo.com or Pastor Joel @ brandtj@trinitynet.org or 715-842-0769.
