Care Ministries
Adult Servant Events An opportunity for adults to participate in a servant
event to assist a
community in the US
or another
country to meet their
physical, environmental, or
spiritual needs.
Ways to be Involved:
Join with other adults on servant events to places such
as Guatemala,
Neah Bay, Brazil or New
Orleans.
Bethesda Work Group A volunteer group that provides help to the local
Bethesda Thrift Store.
Ways to be Involved:
Work directly in the Bethesda
Thrift Shop.
Blood Donations Provide blood to the community through a blood drive
at Trinity two times a year.
Ways to be Involved:
Sign up to donate blood at our blood drives
Card Ministry Send cards that have been made or purchased to
Trinity members at milestones (birthdays &
anniversaries), in times of
grief, when hospitalized, or
when there are other
illnesses.
Ways to be Involved:
Make and send cards of encouragement to people in
need.
Caring Visitation A visiting
ministry to members that are shut-in or
temporarily homebound, or in
other assisted living
facilities. Training and resources are provided for the
Christ Care Partners making visits.
Ways to be Involved:
Volunteer to make visits to members in need of care
once a month
Grief Support A outreach ministry to help people find peace and
healing after
experiencing the loss of a loved one.
Ways to be Involved:
Join a group to receive support from others
experiencing the loss of
loved ones. Individuals
determine how long they
are involved in the groups.
Helping Hands Provides light home repair provided by members to
elderly & single
members
Ways to be Involved:
Refer people who are in need of helping hands for light
repair in their homes.
Lutheran Laymen’s An auxiliary of the Lutheran
Church supporting various
League outreach activities including the Lutheran Hour
broadcast throughout the
world as well as the United
States,
Orphan Grain Train, and Women to Women
conferences.
Ways to be Involved:
Become involved in one of the mission outreach
projects such as Orphan
Grain Train.
Lutheran World Relief Dedicated to helping people overseas in poverty or
suffering from injustice.
Ways to be Involved:
Help conduct clothing drives. Load trucks on pick-up
day. Assist by picking up
clothing from those who are
unable to deliver it
themselves.
Meal & Food Support An opportunity to prepare and/or provide food for
families in times of
crisis, hospitalization, illness, or
death.
Ways to be Involved:
Prepare a meal for a family while a parent, spouse, or
family member is
hospitalized.
Orphan Grain Train An outreach that ministers to people with personal and
material needs. Sometimes the character of the
ministry expresses itself
as a word well spoken,
sometimes as a bandage well
applied, and sometimes
as a child well fed.
Ways to be Involved:
Donate clothing (like new), new medicine chest items,
toiletries, hand and bath
towels, blankets, quilts, bed
linens, infant
clothing, cloth diapers, and blankets.
Prayer Ministry Provides prayer support people who have needs;
members and
non-members. Prayer requests are kept
confidential. Requests are prayed for immediately,
passed on quickly to
other prayer team members who
in turn lift up the needs in prayer.
Ways to be Involved:
Become a prayer warrior by joining the prayer team
that lifts up needs
of the church and of our people.
Prayer Shawl Ministry People knit or crochet shawls for others who are in
need while lifting
them up in prayer.
Ways to be Involved:
Volunteer to knit or crochet a shawl as you pray for a
person in need of care
and healing.
Salvation Army Bell
Provide
encouragement to people to donate money to
Ringing support the needy in the Wausau Area by ringing bells
of the Salvation Army.
Ways to be Involved:
Volunteer to be a BELLRINGER on Trinity's
bell ringing
day in November or December.
Thrivent Builds/Habitat Mission project to
provide homes to individuals in
For Humanity Wausau Community in conjunction with the Habitat For
Humanity national organization.
Ways to be Involved:
Volunteer to help in building a home.
Transportation Ministry Provides assistance to individuals who need
transportation to doctors, therapy,
shopping, etc. Each
driver
is asked to cover one day a month for a year.
Ways to be Involved:
Volunteer to drive one day per month throughout the
year to help people who need transportation
Wausau Blind Outreach A ministry to the blind and visually impaired that meets
Center at Trinity offering networking, social interaction
opportunities with meals,
entertainment, growth and
learning opportunities,
and share helpful resources and
information.
Ways to be Involved:
Help provide meal by cooking or serving those
attending the Blind Outreach
Center gatherings.
Christian Day School
Ministries
Christian Day School Provides
Christ centered education to children from
Kindergarten through 8th Grade.
Ways to be Involved:
Be a room parent for a class.
Enroll your child in the
Day School
Christian Day School individuals who support the involvement of Day School
Sports children in soccer, volleyball, basketball, running, and
cheerleading by being
referees, coaches, and assisting
with scoring.
Ways to be Involved:
Be a coach for one of our school sports teams
Early Childhood Learning Provides child care of children (K-8th Grade) who are
Center enrolled at Trinity in a Christian atmosphere before and
after
school hours. In addition, child care
is provided
for children ages 3 & above
while parents do ministry
in the church or school.
Ways to be Involved:
Enroll children in the Child Care program which is
available Monday through Friday
6:30 am to 6:00 pm
throughout the year except
on holidays.
PTL Provides parent support and activities for the children
and parents of Trinity Lutheran
School.
Ways to be Involved:
Assist with School related events such as Pumpkin
Patch, School Carnival, etc
Church Facilities &
Furnishings
Gardening Plant annuals in beds, planters, and water and weed
them regularly. Prune shrubbery as needed.
Ways to be Involved:
Volunteer to help maintain grounds.
Family Ministries
Little Christians Reaches out to moms and the newborns from birth
through ages three -
four.
Ways to be Involved:
Volunteer to help prepare information and materials
that will be given to
families of newborns.
Nursery Ministry Provides nursery care during the Saturday and Sunday
worship
services.
Ways to be Involved:
Help provide child care in the Nursery during our
worship services. Commitment is for about 15
minutes before a worship
service and until it is over
which is approximately
one hour. Serve once or twice
a
month.
Fellowship, Service
& Outreach
Basketball at Trinity Provides fellowship, encourages healthy bodies and
provides spiritual growth
for Trinity members and non-
members.
Ways to be Involved:
Join the group and play basketball. Teams formed
each week based on
who is able to come. Come when
you are able and as often as you
are able.
Breakfast Café Provides coffee, bagels, rolls, fruit, hot chocolate, etc
in a warm, small group environment
between Sunday
Morning Worship Services. Additonal

Ways to be Involved:
Become a host of the breakfast café for a Sunday
morning. Host every usually serve once every four to
six
weeks from 7:00 am till 11:00 am.
Church Library Selects items, organizes and promotes the use of
Trinity's
church library.
Ways to be Involved:
Write a review half page review of materials (books,
videos, etc) that are
found in the Chruch Library.
Coffee Hour Hosts the Sunday morning coffee hour in the
narthex/lounge area serving
coffee, juice, doughnuts
with love and
kindness. Coffee is served between the
services.
Ways to be Involved:
Gather a group of 5-6 people and volunteer to host and
serve
coffee for a Sunday morning. Coffee
needs to
be started by 7:15 and clean up
can begin after the
10:30 service starts.
Family Camping Provides fellowship and spiritual growth for Trinity
members and non-members.
Ways to be Involved:
Join the camping outing for one weekend.
Grizzlies Softball provides fellowship, encourages healthy bodies and
provides spiritual growth
for Trinity members through
the common activity of softball
as part of a Wausau
Area Softball Association League.
Ways to be Involved:
Be part of softball teams that play in the summer.
Mulligans - Friday Provides fellowship, encourages healthy bodies and
provides spiritual growth
for Trinity members. Golf is
great for relaxation
plus it is a great way to get to
know other people a
little bit better.
Ways to be Involved:
Join the golfing fun by coming to the American Legion
in the summers. Schedule is every other week on
Friday at 1:00 PM
Quilters Women's group that
meets to tie and complete quilts as
requested
by individuals who have supplied the fabric
and supplies.
Ways to be Involved:
Joint the group of ladies that tie quilts for Lutheran
World Relief.
Scrip members assist selling gift certificates that are part of
the Scrip program that provides financial
support for
the church and school. The gift certificates can be used
the
same as cash at local stores.
Ways to be Involved:
Volunteer to assist in selling scrip before and after
worship services
Volunteer Receptionist Volunteer program where members provide
receptionist and office
assistance during the weekday
to members and visitors of the
church and school.
Activities include entering items into the computer,
sorting labels for the school,
assembling mailing, etc.
Ways to be Involved:
Volunteer to be a receptionist during the week and help
with
church office work.
Women’s Evening -LWML Women's group that
meets for bible study, fellowship,
and service as a part of LWML, a
women’s organization
of the Lutheran Church Missouri
Synod dedicated to
mission activity and
financial support of missions.

Join the Women's
evening LWML group for bible study
and to support other mission
activities.
Large Group Bible Study
& Fellowship
Bible Study Leaders Teach Bible Study courses

Teach or Co-Teach a Bible Study
Business Bible Study Provide God's word to
people who are able to attend
before going toe work.
Ways to be Involved:
Attend a noon or early morning Business Bible Study.
Good News Bible Study Provides spiritual growth and fellowship in a large
group bible study
setting. The current study is on
Exodus. Study is led by
Pastor Schultz.

Join the Thurday Morning Good News Bible
Study group.
Life With God Provides people interested in church membership at
Trinity with the
biblical basics of faith as understood by
the
Lutheran Church
Missouri
Synod
Ways to be Involved:
Learn about the Christian faith through this 12 session
course.
Sunday Morning Adult provides spiritual growth and fellowship in a large
Bible Study group bible study setting.
Ways to be Involved:
Attend a Sunday at 9:00 AM Bible Study group.
Wed. AM Large Group Provides spiritual growth and fellowship in a large
Bible Study group bible study setting.
The current study is titled
"That the World May Know" and is a New Testament
study based on a
video. Study is led by Pastor
Pegorsch.

Join the Wednesday morning at 9:00 AM Bible Study
group.
Ministry Leadership
Christian Education The lay leadership group that coordinates all adult
Ministry through children's
Christ centered education with the
exception of the Christian Day School.
Ways to be Involved:
Volunteer to serve on the Christian Education Ministry.
Commitment is for three
years with once a month
meetings. Some additional time is needed based on
the support and encouragement needed
by various
groups.
Day School Ministry The leadership group responsible for providing and
enhancing the Day School
ministry at Trinity.
Ways to be Involved:
Be a part of the leadership ministry supporting the
Christian Day School.
Evangelism Ministry shares the good news of the Gospel with people at
Trinity and outside of Trinity so they can grow in their
faith and joyfully
serve the Lord
Ways to be Involved:
Be part of the leadership team the leads the
proclaiming of the Gospel in
our community and
beyond.
Fellowship & PR Ministry The leadership group responsible for Trinity's
welcoming and fellowship
among members as well as
visibility in the
community.
Ways to be Involved:
Join the leadership team that helps to create a
welcoming presence and
celebrates what God is doing
in our church.
Lay Ministry the lay leadership group responsible for the worship
and spiritual direction of the
congregation.
Ways to be Involved:
Be part of the men who are the spiritual leaders of the
congregation.
Properties Ministry The leadership group that coordinates the maintenance
and
expansion of facilities for the ministry at Trinity.
Ways to be Involved:
Be part of the leadership team that plans, coordinates
and maintains the church
facilities and grounds.
Stewardship Ministry Provides leadership to the congregation in faithful use
of the gifts and talents
provide by God.
Ways to be Involved:
Become part of the Stewardship Ministry team that
encourages use of time,
talent and treasure for the
work of the Kingdom of God.
Youth Ministry Exists to allow all youth to celebrate God's
love for
them in the company
of other Christians; to encourage
them to grow in their
faith; to help them discover their
ministry so they may
touch the lives of non-believers.
Ways to be Involved:
Volunteer to help be a adult leader in
our youth
ministry.
Older Adult Ministries
55+ Club A ministry to men and women 55 or older which
provides activities that
are planned by a board of
directors who are 55 and
older. Monthly activities
include a short
devotion, a hymn, and a program.
Programs may be spiritual, educational, entertaining, etc

Join this gathering of individuals 55+ and older for
fellowship, study and
food..
JOY Center Older youth (adults) that meets monthly for fellowship,
bible study, and
activities at Trinity. Members and non-
members are
welcome. Activities include games,
cards, coffee,
food. Chapel at 10:00 is optionaly. Hot
lunch is available for
$2.10.

Welfare Workers - LWML A society of women that meets for bible study,
fellowship, and service
(funeral meals) is a part of
LWML, a women’s organization of the Lutheran Church
Missouri Synod dedicated to mission activity and
support of missions.
Ways to be Involved:
Join the Welfare Workers Society of the Lutheran
Women's Missionary
League and their support of
mission projects.
Small Group Bible Study
& Fellowship
Individual Home Bible Encourages individual spiritual growth through a home
Study bible study program.
Ways to be Involved:
Obtain and complete a home bible study.
Small Groups Trinity's small group
ministry where groups of three to
twelve people meet for
fellowship, bible study, prayer,
and to serve others. The groups meet weekly or twice
monthly in homes or at church
.
Ways to be Involved:
Join a small group Bible Study or host a small group.
Transitions Ministry Provide Christian care, compassion and hope to
inmates and outmates of the Marathon County Jail
System through letter writing and one-to-one
mentoring.
Ways to be Involved:
Write Letters to inmates in the local jail. Help with
mentoring individuals as
they are released. Teach
Bible Study to inmates and outmates.
Women Under A women's small group
that meets weekly on Tuesday
Construction mornings for fellowship, bible study, and prayer. Child
Care is available!!!

Womens Wednesday Wednesday women's morning bible study led by
Bible Study Group Adeline Seehafer that meets weekly at Trinity.

Adult Handbell Choir Praises
God through handbell music in worship on a
scheduled basis during
worship services.
Ways to be Involved:
Praise God through the handbell choir.
Altar Guild Provides ongoing care for the altar paramounts,
communion vessels,
flowers, candles, and vestments in
both
sanctuary areas for all the worship services.
Ways to be Involved:
Help with weekly Chancel cleaning & filling of candles
with oil, setting up
for Holy Communion.
Banner Team Creates and develops banners based on themes for
worship and other events
at Trinity. People with
artistic talents give a
unique gift and an expression of
their faith.
Ways to be Involved:
Use artistic gifts to design and develop banners.
Living Praise Tech Run the powerpoint,
sound, lights for Living Praise
Support Worship services. Usually scheduled once a month.
Ways to be Involved:
Operate the computer, lights and sound for the Living
Praise Worship Service.
Male Chorus Provides praise and worship during worship services.
Ways to be Involved:
Join this choir that praises God through song in
worship.
Offering Counters Count and tally the offerings given by the

Volunteer to become part of a 3-6 person team that
counts offerings to the
Lord.
Praise Team Leads songs for worship through vocal and
instrumentals for the Saturday
and Sunday Living

Join this team that sings in the contemporary service

Roaming Greeters To welcome members and guests at each entrance for
each worship service.
Ways to be Involved:
Volunteer to greet and welcome people before and
between worship
services.
Sanctuary Choir Provides praise through song at Sunday and weekday
worship services.
Ways to be Involved:
Join this Upper Sanctuary worship choir that praises
God through song.
Sanctuary Video Provides audio and videotapes of Sunday worship
Production services in the main sanctuary at Trinity for members
by request and for viewing on
public access cable
channel 10 television.
Ways to be Involved:
Become a video operator taping worship services for
viewing on public access
channel in the community.
SLC Video Production Spiritual Life Center contains
a full production studio
which is used
primarily to record and produce a full
hour long worship
service video for airing on cable
access. Other projects include videos of
drama skits,
Bible Studies, and fellowship events.
Ways to be Involved:
Produce and record the weekly Living Praise worship
service.
Usher For Worship Provides worship assistance during the regular worship
services as well as
others such as funerals and
weddings. Ushers hand out worship bulletins, gather
offerings, help people
find seating, etc.
Ways to be Involved:
Become an usher for one of our six weekly services.
Worship Greeters Members greet and welcome guests and other
members to worship with
a smile and a handshake.
Families are encouraged to do this together.
Ways to be Involved:
Volunteer to greet people as they come to worship at
each service.
Youth & Children
Ministries
Confirmation ministry to the 6th through 8th grade youth teaching
them Christian truths
using Luther's Small Catechism.
Ways to be Involved:
Assist in helping students learn about the teachings of
the Bible
First Communion teaches first communion class to youth to prepare
them for
participation in communion.
Ways to be Involved:
Assist in teaching children about the nature and
blessings of the Lord's Supper
Jr High YAT Youth
Group a gathering of junior high youth
for fun, (bowling, hay
rides, campfires, gym
activities), bible study, and other
activities.
Ways to be Involved:
If you are a junior high youth….come on Sunday
evenings!!!!!!! Help assist with leading this group.
North Carolina Youth Youth distance outreach events that provide services to
Servant Event people with material needs (home, plumbing, etc)

Sign-up to attend a youth servant event
Sr. High YAT Youth Group Involves fun,
bible study, and service activities for
youth in grades nine
through twelve.
Ways to be Involved:
Volunteer to be an adult leader for Sunday night
meetings that meet year
around.
Sunday School Provides Sunday morning bible study and spiritual
growth to youth from
ages three through the end of
high school.
Ways to be Involved:
Become a Sunday School teacher,
co-teacher or
assistant. Send your child to attend Sunday School
from 9:00 am till
10:00 am.
VBS The summer based program to reach and teach the
Gospel to children of Trinity and the community.
Ways to be Involved:
Have your child attend VBS or help with registration,
organizing or leading small
groups of children.
YAT Puppet Ministry Youth
present the Gospel through puppetry.
Ways to be Involved:
Help with the coordination and setup of the puppetry
stage and items needed
to support puppetry. Join the
group.
